2014 Collingwood Street Trolley Derby

David Letsche Photography was at the 2014 Collingwood Street Trolley Derby and captured all the action, pre race nerves, cool trollies, close shaves and examples of kiwi “no.8 wire” engineering at it’s best.

Photos are now available via the link below.  Please remember to purchase the commercial license option if you are getting the photo for business purposes.  (Price includes GST and receipt is available on request.)

Collingwood St provides the perfect gallery for spectators to watch the racing.

This is a bit of a squeeze.

Speeding in a 50 zone is encouraged, but only for the trollies!

“Excuse me, but I recorded you doing 70kph in a 50kph zone, well done mate!!”

Plus the occasional spill

Collingwood St Derby, always something exciting going on.

Hope the weather stays fine for the racing on Saturday.

Dairy Women’s Network Conference 2013, Rutherford Hotel, Nelson

Dairy Women's Network Conference at the Rutherford Hotel Conference Centre in Nelson

The Dairy Women’s Network (DWN) engaged David Letsche Photography to cover the 2013 Annual Conference held at the Rutherford Hotel in Nelson.  The brief was to capture the very essence of what being part of the DWN is all about.

The photographic style required by the DWN was:

  • Candid and informal
  • Natural and relaxed
  • Showing engagement and interaction

Using the latest professional Canon camera equipment allowed many event photos to be taken in very limited light without the use of flash.  This both enhances the candid quality of the delivered image and allows the conference to proceed without disturbance.

The gala dinner included an award ceremony for the Dairy Woman of the Year 2013.  Photos of the winner, Justine Kidd, were taken, processed and delivered to the PR company on the night for a press release the following morning.

Michelle Wilson (Chair of the DWN) commented on the event photography service delivered for their Nelson conference.

We would like to thank David Letsche for the fantastic photos he recently took at the Dairy Women’s Network conference and Gala dinner held in Nelson in March.

David’s communication has been fantastic from the first point of contact to the follow up with the photos.

David was very patient and obliging, considering the initial time frame we engaged him for ended up being doubled. Nothing was a problem, even when we had to wait for people that were delayed for 45 minutes!

It was a pleasure to work with David, the quality of the photographs and professionalism that he demonstrated were fantastic.

Dairy Women’s Network will definitely be calling David in the future and recommending him to our networks.

Nelson City Cathedral Criterium – Nelson Cycle Fest 2012

Nelson Cycle Fest 2012

Superb Weather for the 2012 Nelson City Cathedral Criterium blessed this unique race. Riders race on a tight circuit around Nelson’s famous Cathedral, which most spectators will not appreciate has a tough uphill section on every lap.
